An alternative might be to take a picture with your phone and post using Autoguide, which allows you to attach pix from your phone directly.

Otherwise, load pix on Photobucket. Somehow. Open the newly loaded picture and select the IMG field "link to share this photo", and it will be copied automatically. Come back to this forum and right click paste it in.

On topic, I tried to take some cell phone shots when at the Honda dealer last week (too dark to post) - the 9th gen Civic underbody is really nice - full underbody panels, no gaps behind the rear wheels like I had to cover, flat panel under the trunk from fender to fender ideal for a diffuser. I was very jealous.

hope that image worked. this is how i kept the 3003 AL sheet in place

and this is it finished, used pop rivets to hold it up. its very light and thin. i still plan on doing forward of the front wheels and aft of the rear.
those two sheets weigh about 15 pounds combined.
i think plate would have been a better alternative but more costly money and weight wise but it would be straight and flush everywhere. but the bottom of the car isnt exactly make-shift-undertray friendly

That could work - a lot flatter/smoother than the Civic Hybrid panels. Just beware rust at the rivet holes into the car body with all those new penetrations. Maybe some paint dabbed in each hole before you install the panels?

Good luck!

I don't know What to do about the holes right now and I should because of salt and winter, but in summer I'll get some aircraft grade fuel tank sealant and put that between the skins and some in the hole. I might just use gasket filler or caulking for now because the rivets and sheet are aluminum and won't rust

I am finishing up installing the hybrid undercovers on my FA1. There are 4 holes in the body that are too small for the normal clips. So instead of drilling them out, which I didn't want to do, I used some smaller honda clips and they worked great (I think they are clips for the front wiper cowl area). The leading edge of the front engine cover only has 2 of the 4 mounting holes which kinda stinks but is still pretty sturdy.

As for the exhaust melting the engine cover, I think I am going to cut out the plastic near the exhaust and then add a piece of sheet metal to fill in the hole. The metal won't be bothered by the heat.

All in all it went on pretty good. My car is a LX so the only undercover it came with was the one under the trunk. I am curious to see if it helps my mileage. For $40 from the salvage yard and $5 in clips (much cheaper on ebay than from Honda!) I am very happy.

Also, on my engine cover the hinged part of the cover was torn apart about 2/3 of the way. So to fix this I bought 4 little piano hinges and riveted them to the cover. Works great.

I need to install the front engine cover on my EX coupe to keep the rabbits out of there. I found some sites that sell it for around $50 (go-parts.com & discountbodyparts.com). I would like to use the same clips that FuntanaS used so that I don't have to do any drilling. Can someone please tell me what's the part number for the clips he used or where I can find them on ebay? Thanks.

I think the small holes are actually occupied by 6mm bolts on a hybrid, and probably thread into weld-nuts that are in the chassis. If the non-hybrid body has those weld-nuts in place, then just use the bolts. If not, I think the best solution would be to use rivnuts, but that would involve a little drilling. Otherwise, you might be able to pull off putting loose nuts above the metal for the bolts to drive into.

The bolts around the middle of the panel are basically permanent, but the ones in the front are removed for oil changes, so you would want those nuts to be secure on their own - you don't want to fuss with locating the nuts to reinstall things after every oil change. I don't know if they're close enough to the edge to use a clip-nut. Or you may be able to epoxy a flange nut in place.

I just had a mechanic install the engine cover on my EX coupe (non-hybrid) and they said it fit perfectly. They didn't say they had to do any drilling. The clips used were part number 91506-S9A-A003. The mechanic said they used 10 of them (I'm sure he's lying though, since there's only 9 holes that can fit these clips and I know that 2 aren't used on the top). I got them from here.

Guys, I am looking to install the undercarriage covers in my 2008 Civic SI Sedan FA5. The below parts are the ones I think are needed.

Are the part numbers correct to fit my car ?
I have read that some modification is needed for the K20 engine oil pan. Any other thing I should be taking into consideration ?
