They are not all equal maybe you have a "factory freak", I got 191 bone stock in 2007.

 

Factory freak or simple basic variations in the type of dynos, altitude, humidity, temperature, fuel, etc, etc. GTR VR38 engines have factory freaks due to each motor being hand built. Mass produced Honda k20 staple engines, not so much.

 

Glad to hear that it isn't unheard of. The fact that it made more torque than advertised is what really had me wondering. Thanks for the input.

 

I put down 183 with around the same tq when I baselined my 07.

 

FYI, sounds high, get something to compare it against, i.e. another k20 flavor in stock form, etc. Otherwise, forget about the number, and every time you get a power adder go back to the same dyno so that you can see your gains.

I've heard of stock SI's dynoing in the 160s stock IIRC. Dynos don't mean crap for numbers, just for gains between modifications.

well the 11 does have a RRC oil pan from the looks of it.

 

190whp, thats only 5% drivetrain loss..... damn.

Stock RX8's dyno 175-185whp and *supposedly* have 238 crank power....

 

^ Rwd, greater loss of power. Same reason why S2ks don't dyno very high despite being ~240 hp
