i just got oem 09+ tails from kplayground and only the left inner taillight has a socket for a bulb the right side is a blank so i can only have the outer taillights on.

also, where did the diy go for installing the fd2 tails? i cant find it and i'm having trouble getting the outer tails on. what do i have to dremel/cut to get the outer lights on?

post the diy link if you can. pics would be greatly appreciated!!

Does anyone know where I can get a CF Js Racing rear diffuser? I was told that they don't make it in CF anymore and you can only get it in FRP :scratches:

i'm still confused.. i'm in the current process of my jdm front/rear conversion. all my parts are here and i'm starting to work on test fitting/wiring.

on the headlights how do i wire up the "blinkers" on depo fd2? i know the day running lights and headlights are plug and play but how do i get the corner light (blinker) to work? i think i have the socket (it needed some modifying to fit, but which bulb? which female connector do i need to fit the socket?

I had to wire in the fit rear turn signal socket and bulb. Idk if there is a way to make the usdm one work. The bulb for it is far too big.

thanks for the reply. so if i get the fit rear turn signal from honda will once i splice the wires will the fit socket and my depo headlight be plug and play from there? or other modifications?

also, i'm still not 100% sure what to order for my "licence plate light housing" the 2 clear plastic pieces.

someones told me tsx can be modified to fit but i never got the what year tsx. i also heard like 04 accord housing fit. or could i order acura csx housings from the dealership even though i'm in washington? just don't want to buy something then have it not fit.

I'll get back to you with both of those later. I have a file on my computer of all quotes from this thread with little tidbits like that.
The tsx housings for the lp lights fit like crap but they "work"

Ok what I did was.

If you rip open the tape covering your wires for your turn signals left side is like brown red black right side is like blue red black.

The brown and blue is the turn signal wire. Black is obviously ground. The red is the wire that makes our signals stay lit when our head lights and parking lights are turned on.

For city light I just tapped the red and black wire. My city lights only turn on when my lights get turned on.

Or you can tap the DRL but Im not sure which wires you would need to tap. Im sure it would be about the same.

Ill take a few pics later since I have to redo a wire.

Ok so I searched for hours for an outright answer to what turn signals to use on my FD1 headlights....This post is for others who have this question.
The P/Ns and place to buy them for FD1 since FD2s should be same sockets/bulbs as OEM besides the city lights that are directly below the DRLs.
TURN SIGNAL-
07-08 Honda Fit Rear Turn Signal socket, bulb, and connector----
Connector- 04321-SM4-409
Bulb- 33301-SAP-003
Socket- 33514-SAA-003
Wire the 2 wires from the FIT connector to the GRN and BLK OEM turn signal wires. There is also a red wire(from your OEM turn signal harness/socket) that you will use accompanied with the Black wire for ground.
2 wires to BLK(1 from turn and 1 from city)/then 1 to RED(city)/then 1 to GRN(turn)

City Lights-
2002 City Light Socket with wires- 34304-SH3-A01

I know most people will tell you to search if you ask as I seen from my searching/research but here it is in one post. GLWB

I ordered all my OEM parts from hondapartsnow.com

The socket is part # 30304-sh3-a01 from a 2002 Accord. I just ordered mine from ebay for $10 shipped but I have not put them in yet. They use bulb# 168. I went through the same fiasco with the turns and DRLs...DRLs are the same socket as well. The ones I got from ebay were aftermarket and are soft rubber sockets but seem to fit snuggly.

Anyone know what part number the black mesh bumper inserts are? I used a kit from VIS and they have that ricey aluminum mesh instead of the black mesh. Thanks... soon to come 300whp K24 Frank N/A FD2....will post build thread and if your in NJ at Honda Days may the best car win!!!

whats being diffuclt here is that the fd1 headlights and fd2 have a different wiring on the turning signals...

if you have a fd1 headlight

Low Beam: plug and play
DRL: plug and play
Turning Signals: 3 wires Ground(blk)/Turning(brwn) Parking lights(red)

get a honda fit 07-08 rear turning signal connecter and socket and amber bulb (ask your local honda store to get that info, not that hard dont know the part number by heart)

Wiring:
the honda fit connecter to the socket only allows you to use 2 wires use ground (blk) and Turning (brwn) to wire your turning signals GET THE RED WIRE AND USE THAT FOR THE CITY LIGHTS

City Lights: USE JDM SIDE MARKER HARNESS AND BULB
RED WIRE FROM THE TURNING SIGNALS AND TAP THE BLACK WIRE TO GROUND (which can be used from your low beams)

city lights are ment to turn on with 1st click of turning your lights and also turns on when you use your headlights

Front end install is very straight forward.

It is basically Taking all of the OEM parts off and reusing all of the original clips and screws.

Lining it up right should be your only problem aside from having to cut the rebar(crash bar whatever you want to call it). That thing isn't easy to cut in the least.

Aside from that you will need to make a harness(if you didnt buy one) for the side markers and also make one for the City lights and turn signals.

Directions on how to connect the side markers are in the DIY guide for making your own side markers, should be under the DIY light section.

Reason you need to make one for the turn signal is the because of the different bulb sizes. (there may be other ways of doing it I dont know about) The OEM ones dont fit in the JDM head lights. How to wire it up you should also follow the side marker thread on what wire is what so you know how you want them wired up.

As for the city lights, you basically do the same thing as for the turn signal where you hack into the turn signal half of the harness except for the city lights you want to hack into the high beams. Just seem which ones are the Day Time Running Lights and it should be as easy as that. (Or you can run it a different way)

I just ran it to turn on when the parking lights came on, which you will also use the DIY side markers on how to wire it.

Dont make it harder than it is, because it's not. If you can take off your front bumper and put it back on. Then you already know how to do half of the work right there. Everything else will fall into place.

It’s time to determine how you want to wire your sidemarkers. You have three options-
1) The sidemarkers will flash in time with the turn signals only
2) The sidemarkers will be on with the parking lamps only
3) The sidemarkers will be on with the parking lamps, and when you turn on the signals they will alternate (wig-wag) with the signals (IF THE PARKING LAMPS ARE ON. if the parking lamps are off they signal like option 1).

I originally chose option 1, but Nguyen, who posts on the Wichita Kansas chat and BS thread suggested the last path. I tried it today, and it works!

Your turn signal bulb has three wires- a red wire for the parking lamp, a black wire that is the ground, and finally a BLUE (left/driver’s side) or BROWN (right/passenger’s side) wire that is for the turn signal.

If you want option 1, wire your power wire from the sidemarker to the blue or brown wire and your sidemarker ground wire to the ground on the turn signal.

If you want option 2, wire your power wire from the sidemarker to the red wire and your sidemarker ground wire to the ground on the turn signal.

If you want option 3, wire your power wire from the sidemarker to the turn signal to the blue or brown wire and your sidemarker ground wire to the red wire.

I’m guessing this works because the circuit is still “grounded” via the ground at the turn signal, but I’m not a genius when it comes to electrical.

Make your decision and wire it up!

i figured it out all fd1 headlight users

use the 7440 bulb and the honda fit 07-08 rear turning sockets and connecter.

there are three wires for the usdm oem honda civic turning signals

use the blk/grn wire to wire the turning signals and use the red wire to wire your city lights.

Mikey thank you so much for this info!! just one more thing did you find out where i can get license plate light housings? if i go with tsx ones what year?

das new guy

Long, I'm sorry.
I found a 4-door 2008 si for 8,500, clean title in So-Cal and I want to toss a Password jdm aftermarket front ( JDM Style FD2 CTR Front End Conversion for 06-11 Civic 4dr | Password JDM ). My issue, is it good for 5 years as compared to OEM JDM front end conversions kits ( keeping in mind most sites, Streetlightz$k-pro, have massive price tags) to last me.
I want to Plasti-Dip this beast as well ( will but the kit from "dipyourcar.com") matte red.
P.S. If anyone is in the So-Cal area and is looking to sell, I have money, but it must be a sedan.
Ps.s I have a sub to Carfax for about 2 more weeks as of this post and if you have issues pm me!

Thanks!!!!
