Got an 07 Civic SI with 50k on it. I am getting ready to have synchronizers replace by Honda under warranty and the guy thats gonna do it said while hes in there he would replace my clutch and flywheel for no cost If I wanted to get an aftermarket one. I was planning on doing this cause im getting a Stage 2 comptech supercharger kit the 1st of the year and I figured id need an upgrade in clutch-flywheel after that. Any suggestions on which combo I should shoot for?

I'll never go to a competition clutch again. Pressure plates are rediculous. There are several of us here who have broken clutch pedal brackets while using CC stg 2's

Clutchmasters is all I'll ever use anymore. Using an FX400, and the pedal effort is easily HALF that of the CC stg 2.

I was gonna say the same thing. I noticed a little more pressure when I first drove it after the install but after wearing it in it dosent feel much stiffer. I have the omni cmc but didn't put it in because I was afraid it would be way to stiff with both but now I'm debating on installing it. I havent decided yet but if you see a fs thread by me for one you'll know my decision.....lol.

I have the Exedy stg 2 with 9lb flywheel and love it! I decided to go ahead and get it even though my torque is only at 163 right now and I have less then 50xxx miles. I figured when I get my engine built up more towards 190-200tq. goal I wont have to deal with another clutch (unless I get stupid with my current mods) On top of the clutch I have the TWM full assembly kit and it just made shifting so much better.

The rev dropping, the "let's go NOW" feeling of it.

the k20z3 has a heavy balance shaft oil pump, the rsx engines do not. So putting the lightweight flywheel in gets rid of the rest of the rev hang (which is STILL present even with i/h/e and flashpro.

The car also feels like it has more low end torque with the light flywheel, whether it did or not is irrelevant because it felt like it did, basing my judgements on stock vs lightweight since i've had both and gone back to stock.

Drivability is definitely somewhat compromised, it's going to take more throttle to take off, but it's NOT hard to drive. With a lot of people in the car it might be hard to do a hill start, but it's not impossible or anything.

I cannot comment on the rev hang-thing, which I have never experienced, but I do not care for the lightweight flywheel (on my daily driver) for both its fussiness when parking or parallel parking in tight spaces as well as its noisiness, since I can loudly hear the clutch springs vibrating, due to all the cutout holes in the flywheel.

Also, I find that the faster rev's do not really equate to a faster car. The engine just winds up faster. I doubt the car actually accelerates any more quickly.

Again, just my 2-cents.
