How to Install the Throttle Body Spacer for the R18

i know the theory behind the throttle body spacer but i dont believe that you can actually feel gains just by adding 3/4 inch of spacer to the intake manifold...

i mean intakes barely do anything (performance wise) but they sound sweet and wont do much unless the car is tuned...i cant justify paying almost $80 for 3/4inch that mentally increases performance

i mean unless there is some way to make the spacer for like $40 i wouldnt buy this part

Thanks for the opinion, but this thread is about how to install the spacer. Corsport started a thread announcing the spacer, so if you want to complain or make your voice heard, head over there. Otherwise, leave this otherwise productive thread alone.
im sorry you took my comment so negatively...

i know i cant change the price of the spacer and it just seems expensive to me because it is $80 for a little 3/4 inch piece

and i was trying to be somewhat productive and see if you could make a homemade one and save money...im in the process of doing the "ghetto" intake mod and it saves a lot of money and performs just as good as the injen CAI

what is the spacer made of?

this is something i could easily make....hmmmm...very very tempting and alot cheaper than the 80 bucks

anyone know if they sell that gasket seperately
omg please...i cant justify paying $80 for this when there arent any dynos and the piece is so simple...make a DIY

and like another post said you can buy the gaskets from honda

is it not enough that everyone says they've noticed a difference? AND THE WHISTLE SOUND!!!!
i have done a "ghetto" DIY intake which has the same gains as the Injen CAI soooo when i spent $80 for my intake i really cant justifly paying the same amount for a piece of silicon (or whatever it is) that gives me 3/4 of an inch more space when i could make it for probably like $30

if that was done i would have saved myself $200 on my intake and $50 on a throttle body spacer...
