okay i just started to tune my honda civic si sedan, so far ive got vibrant catback exhaust, vibrant rh, and injen cai. seen so many videos of how flashpro helps your car or helps gain hp? idk. but ive decided that i wanted to purchase flashpro, but before i ordered it i wanted to know EXACTLY what it does and EXACTLY how you use it,

my basic understanding is that it is used to self tune your car?... how does it do that?(NOTE-im only 19 and i am new to the tuning world so i dont know to much about cars) ive looked at all the threads about the flashpro and searched everything i could possibly search on it.

flashpro basically lets you tune your ECU and its not necessary that you do it yourself. you can go somewhere for a tune such as evans tunning.

you can get it tuned based on the bolt ons you have and seeing that you have quiet a few you would feel a significant change.

people have claimed to feel alot of changes being stock..

theres plenty of post about flashpro on here.
try using the search.

FlashPro allows you to adjust various things controlled by the ECU, in order to allow your engine to run better, healthier, and more smoothly.

Buying a Honda Civic is like getting a hamburger at a fast food restaurant. It tastes pretty good by itself, but its not quite perfect. FlashPro is like condiments. You can adjust which condiments you want to put on your burger to make it taste better, and ultimately enjoy the meal better.

Be careful with it however. It is not a game, you are adjusting real things that alter the way your vehicle runs.

Flashpro is by far the single most important modification you will make on your 8thgen Civic Si. Everyone that has it and has performed a full tune on their cars will attest the quality of drive-ability and performance that have been able to extract from their cars. One thinking of modifications, the Flashpro should be at the top for your list. You will do well by reading the posts in this section (ECU Tuning) and educate yourself on the finer points of this awesome tool. You can also visit FlashPro Tuning for instructional videos and chat live with top-notch tuning enthusiasts like Vitviper, Dan0974, BV1, Mucter, Soxfan143, and yours truly.

Best regards,

Rulo

So if I get flashpro, is it better to use Hondata Reflash first OR K-Pro before using the FlashPro? Or it doesnt really matter? Cuz from what i read, Reflash takes out the Rev Hang and puts down the VTEC to 4k RPM? Sorry guys im a noob also

So I have a aem Sri and skunk2 mega power exhaust.. No rh yet but looking around.. Would it be good to get flashpro now and tune it and retune it when I get the rh or I don't need to? I have really bad rev hang.. It almost bogs down when I try to hit 2nd hard.. It's almost to hard to Chirp in 2nd.. Unless I'm not use to dbr..

i waited until i got the i/e/h setup in that order. Just this past friday i got fp installed with a legit tune. With these 3 mods, the fp and tune turned my car in to something fierce. Most importantly (for me) it smoothed out the powerband so that my low to mid-range power feels like the top end once did and i now can stomp on the pedal at any rpm and immediately accelerate. no crappy s-s-st-stutter! God i hated that. Flashpro is like hydroxycut without the heart attack! ...more metaphors!...

i was referring to the hesitation/split second of complete nothingness thanks to our drive-by-wire. Sorry if i wasn't clear. oh and btw half throttle is about as fast as full throttle once was. This means that i can now speed up without sounding like an @$$ho!e.

some people get annoyed, i enjoy helping out when i can. this is just my experience so don't be dissapointed/get your hopes up:

header = $350
fp = $600
9 dyno run tune that took around 3 hours = $400

just know that if you plan on winging it by yourself or if you go to someone who thinks, but actually doesn't know, what they are doing then you can seriously f your engine up 4 eeeeever.

Adding another dumb question to this topic. Flashpro supposedly improves driveability by giving our Si's more power in the midrange, as evidenced by every dyno graph using flashpro. I just want to know how this is possible. Does it engage the vtec cam in order to do this or is it magic? lol. thanks.
