GReddy RS on FA5 Review

So I installed my new GReddy RS this past weekend and love it so far! It's really deep and not raspy at all. IMO, it's pretty loud but not as loud as my friend's (Yamahaplaya) skunk2 76mm. When you let off the gas you get a few nice sounding pops. I know a lot of people had problems getting the silencer out of the ti-c, but it literally fell out of this when I took the tip off. I like how it's angled like the ti-c; the only difference I can see from the ti-c is the burnt tip. My RS also came with no stickers or instructions or anything, just the exhaust. Since my car is a 2011, the old exhaust came off fairly easily with a torque wrench and some grease for the grommets. It fits fine and I don't have any troubles with it rubbing anywhere. Like some people have already said, the GReddy sedan adaptor isn't the best quality. Mine looked like it was bent a little bit but luckily it went on without any problems. Even though it's a little more expensive than most exhaust, I'm very happy that I got it.:dancing: If you have any questions or want better pictures, let me know!!! For now I have to go study for finals...

it it okay if you could post a quick video of your car? like a drive by or something just so i could hear how the exhaust sounds like. thank you
I bought the RS the day it came out (I have a 2010 coupe) and Greddy said I would be the first on the east coast with one. :dancing: I have a video with and without the silencer. Unfortuanlly I havent uploaded the video without the silencer to youtube yet.

Its like day and night without the silencer, its ALOT more quiet with it installed. Once you take it off you fall in love.

Here is my video with a silencer:

I will remake and upload a new video without the silencer later on today. My car is in the shop getting HFP suspension installed but I will be sure to have a video on here for you guys this evening.

No, it looks perfect. I love the way mine looks. I polish it with Mothers Wax everytime I wash my car just to make it shine. :fistpump:

This exhaust gets a 10/10 in my rating. The only down fall I could see about this exhaust is if you were going for boost you probably would want a different exhaust.

Maybe I'm just old, but when I got out of the tuner scene when I sold my old EM SI, loud was not the desired result of an exhaust system. I haven't seen/heard an exhaust for my fa5 that comes anywhere close to what my Apexi WS sounded like.

IMO, this style exhaust on an Si looks awkward. I just feel like it doesn't fit the bumper very well. I think the angled, n1 style muffler looks best on a wrx/sti. but to each is own. Has the sound changed much since you installed it?
i respect that, everybody doesn't like the same thing. i haven't noticed a change in the sound. i need to clear some clips off my camera and then i will make a video.

there's 3 screws connecting the tip to the muffler at the base of the tip. just unscrew those and it will either just fall out or you might have to pull it out. after that just screw the tip back on. you can see one of the screws in the 2nd and 3rd pics.
