it seems like a lot of people have done this lip install without cutting.... I dont know why you would keep arguing the contrary

yea i mean the solution is simple- test fit the rear lip and see if you need to cut- ive installed the hfp on a coupe & sedan & the Mugen diffuser- never cut once

Before you order your hfp lip make sure you are getting the si hfp lip not the r18 hfp lip. The part number for the si version is 08f03-snx-xxx and the r18 is 08f03-sna-xxx. The xxx is the number for the paint.

If you buy from Honda directly, it will come with nuts/bolts. If you buy elsewhere, nothing is a guarantee.

installed my front and rear today. i have an 08 si sedan. i purchased them straight from the dealership. i tried to mount the rear lip to the bumper without cutting the exhaust cutout, but it was impossible to put them together and have the square head bolt right above it match up with the hole you drill into the bumper.

the exhaust cutout on the stock bumper is smaller than the exhaust cutout on the rear lip, so when you try to squish them together, it rejects it, not allowing it to be mounted where it is supposed to be. i have no clue how some of you guys installed them without cutting. there was no way for me to mount it without doing so.

I know it just goes to a dead page when I click on it now. But anyways, good find since I'm getting ready to install my Si rear lip. I guess the big thing is to see if I'm going to have to cut out the exhaust hole or not now. Hopefully not :bleh:
