So I applied the fix to the map I was using and Just went out for a 30 minute cruise.. My impressions.

The revs drop and engine braking works like it should have from the factory and like every other manual ive ever driven.

During shifts i notice now that the STFT doesnt go all crazy for a second after you let off the throttle, Could this be because the injectors arent on anymore? just my guess..

I also notice that my LTFT are more stable and closer to 0 which I also attribute to the STFT not going super positive or super negative when letting off the throttle during shifts.

All in all this update was amazing and makes the car drive how a manual should. Revs drop instantly and engine braking starts at that exact same time...

Relearning to drive without revhang isnt an issue, it was tailoring my driving style to deal with the revhang/lack of engine braking that was the issue.

Im still curious as to what tables/perimeters were changed.. Can anyone from Cobb chime in?

ITS BEAUTIFUL!!

Thank you cobb!!!

Paging mr. rulo! Are you still using the spreadsheet on AccessTuners to DIY calibrate your MAF sensor? As it turns out, I will need to calibrate mine again, as my LTFT is already up to 9.4 and rising. AFR is still rather nice, though! And I still love this update. Even making the huge mistake of going out and about driving in this post-Christmas traffic was a bundle of joy thanks to this latest update.

Made me think of The Hangover, paging Dr. Fa**ot. lol.

haha! "oh, and, he's not a doctor, he's just a dentist. don't get too excited."

I'm dying to get back out there and just have a great time driving this "new" car, but the traffic is SO bad. I'll have no hope of calibrating my MAF sensor any time in the next few weeks if the standard is still a smooth 3rd gear pull from X-80+ g/s mass airflow, as that requires me to accelerate to ~75 MPH on the highway onramp, and... people are PARKED on onramps right now. haha!

Do I have to use the provided throttle map, or can I use Vitvipers throttle map? And do I have to use the existing maf cal on the new map, I ask this cause I really don't feel rev hang being gone with this map.

Back with the same hesitation I had last time, but this time, using a completely unedited v1.04 map. Oh no! Here's a snapshot of the hesitation I'm talking about, while cruising in 4th gear with steady throttle. The car was shifting just a bit when this happens.

Notice the AFR going up and down, as well as the STFT jumping around as well. I realize that my LTFT is way high (and still rising, since it hasn't yet been calibrated.) I was on my way to the highway to getting started with calibration, but the bucking/hesitation returned before I made it to the highway, and didn't know how safe of a situation I am in.

Would someone mind going over these numbers, aside from the AFR and fuel trims? Does everything else look OK? Is it likely that this is happening solely because my MAF is not calibrated yet?

This has never, ever happened with any map I've loaded in the past, calibrated or not. I really hope this isn't a byproduct of v1.04, forcing me to go back to rev hang :-(

I would start with a MAF cal, if your running cobbs OTS maps; There mafcals are further off then next christmas.

1. Take the map you were using before that was working just fine (but had revhang).

2. Dont do anything to this MAP except run cobbs rev hang remover on it.

3. Reflash the map and the revhang is gone..

For myself my LTFT even got closer to 0 since applying this fix, and ive noticed the STFT not going crazy like before on throttle lift off between down/upshifts.

YOU DONT HAVE TO START WITH COBBS 1.04 MAPS. JUST APPLY THE FIX TO THE MAP THAT YOU HAVE BEEN USING!

08civicman, that was my original plan, but I am unable to run the updater tool in Windows 7 Professional x64. Another poster in this thread had the same problem I did in Vista x32. I'm currently forced to use v1.04, and am in the process of calibrating my MAF.

When I first tried v1.04, I pasted my MAF calibration (which ran at 0.78 LTFT at all times in v1.03) and it really didn't like it. Same fluctuating AFR and LTFT/STFT issue after 4 or 5 drive cycles.

email me over the map and ill run the updater program on the map that you want it run on :) I PM'd you my email address.

Ill save you some trouble.

Ha ha too funny. MAF Cals are great, head on over to The Un-Official Cobb AccessPORT users community | AccessTUNERS, I'm usually hanging around there with vit, mully, teegs, and the rest of those crazy accesstuners.com guys. Dan0's creation (MAF Spreadsheet) is awesome!

Can't elaborate much, at work -- 08civicman was nice enough to update my previous map (v1.03 w/ calibrated maf) but it exhibits the same problem. Had to coast towork, as the car audibly hums as the AFR jumps wildly between 10 and 20. Going back to v1.03 for now; my car does not like this new injector behavior at all.

Awesome, thanks for the update Cobb.

I'm not used to driving like this at all. My shifting is not the smoothest right now because how quickly the revs drop. Got to get used to it again.

Well, I'm back to the delicious (but safe) rev hang of v1.03 for the time being. Everything is well.

To those of you who are running any form of this new revision -- whether its Cobb's v1.04 or an older map patched with the rev hang fix -- could you please keep an eye on your AFR and be on the lookout for any jumpiness/hesitation while cruising? I'd love to nip this in the bud as quickly as possible, because the new map feels amazing aside from this setback. I really hope I'm not the only one this is happening to :p

Gary & co. at Cobb, do you have an e-mail address I could send a couple of short datalogs to, ones that showcase the issue I'm having? To summarize, driving feels well and my idle AFR is (99%) perfect, but when cruising (or after approximately 5 minutes of driving fully warmed up) my AFR bounces to and from extremes rapidly (~10.0 - ~20.0,) causing some mild "bucking" and hesitation, but no knocking from what the datalogs tell me. I've owned my AccessPort for about four months now, and have regularly used around 10 different maps including your OTS v1.01, v1.02, and v1.03. Applying the rev hang fix to v1.03 (or, alternatively, using your OTS v1.04) is the only map that causes this problem. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Im having the same problem with my AFR at light throttle and cruising , running the stage2 CT map. AFR are fluctuating between 10.0 and 29.0 with the same mild bucking. This only happens at light throttle , if im accelerating the AFR are good , its only when im maintaining speed.
