3rd or 4th time dropping the damn subframe now I lost count, removing the entire exhaust/header, replacing the header in the process, then swapping the k20z3 transmission for an FD2 transmission. Took me another 2 weeks and meticulous cleaning and no matter how careful I was, covered in bruises and aching all over again.

Seems legit because the bracket that holds the cable shifters is entirely different. Also had to get FD2 shifter cables in advance. Another way to tell is 6th gear definitely isn't cruising at 2.5 rpms anymore, because SPNM transmission is also stamped on regular Si's from what I hear; You wouldn't know if it's legit unless you bolt it on and test it yourself.

Also capped off the no longer functioning EGR canister ever since swapping the ECU to a Si/Type-S. So much room now thank god.

I'm not even confident with the transmission fluid because whatever was in there prior smelled like engine oil and that's probably not good. Gonna do another flush in 100 miles or less.

Other than that the shifting is tight no free play whatsoever and no grinding. Alongside the TSX camshafts replacement, VTC 50 with hondata tune this baby rips! 😂😂

A little update. Just changed transmission fluid and found a bunch of dirty grit. Now it seems to shift smoother than ever.
One thing I don't like about the FD2 tranny is that everyone is right. In 6th gear you're literally above 3k rpm and in highway it sure is a waste.

Plus with the k24 tsx camshafts And VTC 50 cam gear it's quite loud. But real VTEC is working smoothly as ever and a sleeper too. After tinkering with Hondata for months on end I think I finally got it down.

An extra bonus I finally installed Spoon twin-block calipers. Couldn't believe it fit my stock rotors perfectly centered and with ce28 wheels Wooo~ Saved roughly 80+ lbs I forget exactly how much total.

Anyway I'm finally done! No more mods for at least a year I hope.. 👍
