$199 for 5 rear windows. 90$ per front window. + a 10% discount.

Came to around $280 for tint all around, unfortinually I got pulled over and had to remove the front tint. Considering of removing all my tint since one window in the rear has a lot of dust in between the tint and window...

theres a flea market here that charges $80 for all 5 windows any percentage but ive only seen only 2 cars they did and they actually did a good job . my other friend got his done at a shop for 20% all round $120 with lifetime warranty

:yeahthat: dealer put it on for me at time of purchase. tint all around is illegal here so they only did the back 3. front 2 are gonna cost me $80.

$200 for 5% all around with a lifetime warranty and one piece rear window.

Some people dont know to look for the one piece rear and what ends up happening is they try to line it up on a defroster line but over time you will start to see the seperation line.

for real? is it something easy to look for? i never knew this.

It would go across the window, horizontally. They would tint the top half with one piece and the bottom half with another then line them up on a defroster line. You could probably tell if you ran your finger down the very far side of the window since most defrosters dont stretch the entire lenths of the glass.

On most cars the height of the rear window is larger that the side windows. So some places have rolls long enough to do the side window but not long enough to cover the rear window so they'll do a two piece job.

Tint price is very regional.

But the price is determined by the quality of the product and the quality of the install.

Better installs almost always charge more (because they're good!). Some people think all tint is the same, but there's a lot of difference to it.

A $120 tint job with a "lifetime warranty" sounds like a good idea, but is it a manufacturer's warranty? If it's in-house, is that guy even going to be around in a few years? What specifically does the warranty cover? Does it cover color change (turning purple), fading (getting lighter)? They are separate things. While you may be better off spending $200 from a good installer with a manufacturer backed nationwide lifetime warranty (in case you move).

I recommend reading this thread: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/inside-out/54009-how-you-can-pick-good-tint-shop.html

Also, there's several types of window film out there. Dyed, deep dyed, pigmented poly, metalized, full metal, and ceramics and complex atomic stackings. All have different good and bad points. Some of the high end films reject more heat than most "limo" films!

So the price is the last thing you should ask about!
