I have the same problem with my 2009 Civic. Has anyone solved this?
Yea, bleed the air out. Open the hood, remove the radiator cap when the engine is cold after sitting all night or sitting after several hours, start the engine, turn on the heat full blast, let it warm up for a half hour allowing the thermostat to open. Now try to get all the air out. Burp the system. Slowly squeeze the radiator hoses to get the air out. Once all the air is out of the cooling system, close the radiator cap and top off the coolant overflow reservoir, the plastic bottle. You can buy a "special" funnel to help you do this. I've done it both ways. Enjoy!
