Hi Folks,

My friend broke one of the front bleeder valve (flush with the caliper) while trying to bleed brakes. Fluid is not leaking after he broke the bleeder valve (he drove 100 miles with intermittent moderate to hard braking, to be sure).

Options.....
1. Slightly hammer the vale using hammer & THEN Use a broken screw extractor?
2. Rapidly heat and cool the bleeder & THEN Use a broken screw extractor?

3. Worst case scenario he would get a rebuilt caliper form local auto store for about $40 + $20 (core charge), if he replaces just one caliper, I suspect, it might result in brake drag on one side.

No matter which method works, I suggested him to bleed the brakes in the end.

What are your recommendations to extract this broken bleeder?
