Hey everyone,
Car is a 2009 EX with 130,000 miles (R18 Automatic)
I've been struggling to diagnose a substantial vibration in my car. Finally, I have a lead. A mechanic noticed that driver's side CV axle was wobbling significantly. He said that it could be:
1. A worn CV Axle (Cost of about $80 as a DIY job)
2. A worn transmission bearing
First, which of these is more likely?
Second, does the transmission need to be pulled to replace the bearing?
I'm crossing my fingers that it's a CV axle.
Also, I've been driving with this vibration for quite a while as I searched for the cause. Could I have done long-term damage in that time?
Thanks,
Matt
