I have a CC stage 4 clutch and I think it's the ACT 11lb. flywheel. I kind of wish I still had my stock flywheel. Even though the light weight is cool, and I can rev faster on the top end, there are a lot of annoyances on the bottom. You really have to be conscious about revving harder to get the car to go, especially on hills. I often find myself spinning my tires trying to go. Also, trying to accelerate, I really don't see a difference, sometimes I think it takes longer for the RPMs to climb until you get near the top once you get near the top, the RPMs climb like a rocket. I had to learn how to shift early so I didn't hit the rev limiter when I did start going because it comes so fast. So it's pretty great for racing, but for daily driving, I would say keep the stock flywheel. The last thing that annoys me, which I'm not sure if it's the clutch, flywheel or both but, when i try and go in reverse, it always grinds, like the clutch doesn't want to slow down enough to open the gate.

Clutch Replacement and possibly Lightweight Flywheel

i have an 06 civic si. need to replace clutch. or clutch/flywheel. i have i/h/e and flashpro thats about it. any recommendations?
I'm interested in the same thing. Not too many mods currently, but hoping for just I/H/E in the future. I currently have K&N SRI TB spacer, and FlashPro. Not looking to race, just a Daily Driver that I can have fun on weekends on the mountain roads.

I live in SoCal so traffic during the commute sucks, but I've been driving a manual for 12 years. So, should I go with a 11.5lb flywheel? Or keep the OEM one? I'm only interested in Stage 1 clutches, but not sure if it's worth it.

Would a stock/OE clutch be a better fit for me if I pair it with a lightweight flywheel? Or would a Stage 1 clutch with stock flywheel be more fun? Or go balls out, with a Stage 1 with 11.5lbs flywheel? Anyone have experience with either setup...? I'm looking for a very good driving experience as well. I already have the Buddy Club Racing SS, and Hybrid Shifter Cable Bushings.

The clutches/flywheels doesn't have to be from an RSX, but the 8th Gen Si shares the same transmission as the 02-06 RSX so if it fits one it will fit the other. The gearing of the transmissions is different, but the bolt patterns are the same, and everything will fit no problem.

We've always had good luck with ACT in house. They're a little bit pricier, but they have good longevity, durability, and should serve you well. Most of our Kraftwerks cars end up with ACT setups, and no complaints here!

The Competition Clutch Stage 1 is worth some thought as well for a more simple I/H/E setup. The pedal feel is very similar to OEM, and it should take about 200ft/lbs. I'll link you to our store so you can poke around:
