Hi all,

My 2006LX is overdue for brake fluid replacement (110K, 5yo), just wondering is there anything special to be done because of ABS? Also how much brake fluid is necessary? I got 12oz bottle from Handa.

Thanks in advance!

No. Just bleed it normally. Take note of the bleed order. It does not make any sense. Search the forums for the correct order. I think it starts with driver's front or maybe passenger front.

You will probably need 2 bottles of the overpriced Honda brake fluid. If you want, return it for money and buy a quart bottle of either DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid from any store of your choosing and pocket the difference.

pass rear > driver rear > pass front > driver front.
That's the conventional order but not the order Honda specifies for the Civic. Looking at my factory service manual right now it says the order is:

1) Front left
2) Front right
3) Rear right
4) Rear left

So that's starting at the driver front and proceeding "clockwise" around the car.
