I had this done on my car about 2 weeks ago. Felt great for a few days and now is notchy as hell again. On the other hand, it hasn't popped out of third yet!

I think its a lost cause at this point, but can hurt to go back. To tell you the truth 2nd has always been more of a problem for me. It gives an audible grind at almost any rpm while shifting.

Yeh I had the third gear set replaced a little over two weeks ago. I can post pictures of the shop ticket later. Need to get my camera back. Either way, this fix is a crock.

They have had a TSb to replace syncros for a while but this just replaces the faulty syncros with identical ones which doesn't fix the issue of bad design

So for the 08s they caught it at some point and fixed it in all models after that? Can we safely assume that the 09s won't have the same problem?

This is the odd part. I dropped my car off early in the morning before work. They called my at about 6:00 pm and said that they found a TSB for my car. She mentioned that the parts had to come from Davenport. The parts came in the next morning and the car was done later that afternoon.

They washed my car but there was still some grease in various places around my front bumper, so I assumed they did in fact replace the third gear set. But like I mentioned the problems are back again, so I wonder what they actually did to the car.

Wrong! This TSB replaces the old third gear set 23444-PNS-306 with a new third gear set 23444-PNS-316.
