I had this done on my car about 2 weeks ago. Felt great for a few days and now is notchy as hell again. On the other hand, it hasn't popped out of third yet!
Yeh I had the third gear set replaced a little over two weeks ago. I can post pictures of the shop ticket later. Need to get my camera back. Either way, this fix is a crock.
They have had a TSb to replace syncros for a while but this just replaces the faulty syncros with identical ones which doesn't fix the issue of bad design
Thank god it hasn't happened 2 me yet...when I shift I hold the clutch all the way down until I feel it going into gear...the shifts aren't as smooth but it hasn't had any problems yet...
Got my FA5 early February with a late January build date. It falls right outside the upper range by a couple thousand. I haven't had third pop out on me or grind on me yet, but I don't drive very much (2 months of driving, < 1000 miles) Hopefully I'll continue to remain problem free.
damn no sense in getting mine done since it stopped after replacing the fluid. if it comes back wonder if i can get them to change the clutch out for me while they are at it
wow... hmm wonder how easy this is going to be to get done at the local honda dealerships in my area.
Thanks for the info... :thumb: what would also be awesome if someone posted the pdf file for the actual bulletin if possible that way it might be easy to get them to do the work
Yes it is the check digit.
I wonder if there is a time frame for having the work done? I will taking a trip to the dealer this morning to ask questions.
Well being a TSB.. they probably would have to order the parts since its not like they will be stocking them for a recall correct?
