I'm a n00b at this as this is my first car. I've been told that winter tires are a good investment and that a narrower tire with a higher sidewall is better. As we all know, the stock tires are 205/55R16, I'm wondering which tire size I can go "down" to if I wanted narrower tires and a higher sidewall. Anyone know?

Also, any tire manufacturer suggestions?

Thanks!

Honda has always tended to have skinny tire to start with, so I don't think you need to go any more skinny. You probably heard this from someone who most drives older domestic cars that have HUGE tires, in their case this is correct, but for the Honda I wouldn't go much thinner. Personally I buy the same size tires for snow tires because Honda tires are skinny have big enough side walls.
