I have gone to the same guy for my last 4 cars. His shop is in NN though, and IIRC I paid ~$150 and he does one hell of a job. I have never had any peeling, fading, bubbles etc...

Willie's Sunblock Tinting 757-890-4104 if interested

For all the Middle Peninsula peeps this is where you should go trust me

Try LA TINTS. They have a place in Manassas near Rt. 66. I think they have other locations as well. I just got mine done there. I'm not sure what they charge since I got a special deal because a friend of mine knows the owner. But it should be about 200 dollars or so depending on what type you get. They do a nice clean job. The only thing was the dot matrix pattern on the back window is hard for the film to stick to. But I've heard thats a problem with a lot of people. But overall they do nice clean work and definitely worth the money.

Willies... Sounds familliar.. Is he off denbigh somewhere? I think I got my first car tinted there, back when I lived in hampton.

Theres a place on hull street, it's where I got mine done, I think it was $190. Richmond's Automotive Tint Specialists

Don't go to CarPool or any other place down town, $400 is the low-end for non-metallic tint. For the decent tints its $800-$1000 there (!).
Yeah, oh by the way do not let any of your friends go to CAR TOYS's off west broad in richmond. In my last car (brand new, had it for 5 days at this point) took it there for window tint.. not only did i pay 230$ for a shitty job, dude smoked a cigarette in my car the whole time he was doing the job. (i didn't know because I was inside waiting, when i got inside and saw the smoke cloud come out and etc.. i was pissed.) Of course I got nothing for my trouble, other than a trip to autozone for some auto febreeze.

I'll check with them, and yeah dot matrix is normally hard to tint around.

thanks for the suggestions, if anyone else has some let me know!

Check out Visions Tint and Customs. The guy's name is Jason Lambert and does a great job. He and I worked together at Crutchfield in Harrisonburg and his shop is in Staunton. Look him up on myspace and tell him Jason Winn sent you!

Yes he is right of Denbigh on mcmanus (sp?) blvd.

Once again a great guy that does amazing work....I simply refuse to go anywhere else. Not to mention he will put on whatever percentage tint you want:thumb:

It is important to remember in tinting you are not paying alot for the materials it is costly for the service or skill. Not sure if anyone has ever tried to put on their own tint, but trust me it isn't easy....at all.
