easier than a cam? a cam is not hard. it doesnt even require removing the head to install. and a cam for the si with basic fuel tune will give you the same numbers you see from the stage1 turbo and supercharger kits.. except a cam is around $1200-800 not $3k-4k. you can have an I/H/E with the hondata reflash and the IPS K2 cam all for $3000. add labor fees onto that if you dont do your own installs. basically, for a slightly cheaper price you can get the same power as forced induction with a much more reliable, more easily maintained setup.
Will a new cam really help?
My buddy says that if I want more out of my civic, that I should get a new camshaft. Is this true? I am going to get a CAI and a catback too. What do you guys recommend that I buy to increase the overall performance of the car? I don't a turbo or supercharger, that would be to much.
