That sounds right. I remember Toyota was using Delco alternators in their Corollas. Toyota guy said my problems will all go away if I installed a Nippondenso alternator from the previous year. He was right.

i still have my car window advertising sticker...

40% Japan parts.
55% US/Canadian parts.
5%....doesnt say.

Judging by the new 08 prices.... people getting 08s with navi at 22.5K....HECK thats how much I paid minus navi (07).

theres the good....and theres the bad.

Engine : Made IN USA
Transmission : Made In Japan

Made in USA ..... u dont see that often nowadays.

Things i remember being made in USA were:
1. My Clairborne and Red Sand Shirt .....now theyr made sumwhere else.
2. My Old Levis 501 (used to be 100 bucks back then).... bought it from singapore...now made in China.
3. My Harley Davidson Boots....bought it from London....now made in China.
4. My Old school JBL T595 Speakers....150 watts rms speakers...enough bass to make u not wanna get subs.

Bottomline: Made in USA stuff are really really good...when made properly.

I hope to keep my Si for life. untill she's just too damn tired to live anymore.

you just have to be careful with the car.

I talk to my Si and say "hi" everytime I get in. especially in the morning.

Program your radio to say "Hi" to you by name (in text) when you start the car up. I did it, and it has really improved the relationship. I still hate the rev hang, though - it might eventually destroy our relationship.
