I have an '06 Civic AT. And at low speeds 0-30 mph there is this whirring noise. Almost high pitched not like a growl but like a whine. sometimes it's during idle too. But the noise doesn't happen all the time...I already had the engine belt changed for one of the recalls which called for a longer belt. But that was a while ago. Anyone know what this noise could be?

what recall was this?
My wife has a 06 civic lx sedan with odd noises too. But hers sounds like something is grinding on her front brakes? It's weird, it goes away once the car it is warmed up.

I had something similar before too.
My problem was that I have a PSP in my car I use to listen to songs with. The next day I would start up and start driving and hear this whine almost that of a supercharger which would scare me thinking I ****** up something. But it was because my radio was still in AUX mode with the PSP off which gave off the sounds.
Im sure this isn't your case but this was my problem till I found out what it was.
