Im currently rolling around with 15 percent tint all around in Cali.
Got a fix it ticket (3rd time) and have just payed the fee the previous times.
They slapped me with a 300 dollar ticket this time. The guy who hooked me up with the tint no longer is around, so paying a cheap price to take it off and put new stuff on is not an option.

Im thinking of just rollin around with no tint on the front. As good as it looks I feel its just another reason to pick on a honda and even worse if they feel like checking the hood Im screwed.

How many of you guys have just gave up and went back to no tint? Is it really that big of a difference in terms of comfortability?

i have yet to get a tint....if u keep ur car clean inside it gives me people a reason to look inside and admire ur car even more.... well at least thats the way it works for me

taking the tint off is simple...take a razor blade and cut the edge until you can grab it and peel it off...after that...you could use soap water or windex to spray the window and scrape all the sticky residue off with the razor blade...my dad is a tint installer..so am i..part time hahaha...i just went with a lighter tint after the second time i was pulled over...FVCK CALI LAWS!!

^ or u can jus use a heatgun/blowdryer makes it alot easier..did the cop use his window tint measurer meter thing?? cuz i got pulled over for 20% and i went to court nd told the judge the cop didnt measure how dark my tint was and judge jus threw out the ticket.

Why don't you just go with a light shade all the way around? I have 20% in Indiana and for the past 17 years have never had a problem. You could even go light as 35% and it would be better than no tint. I'm not a fan of un-tinted cars myself.

the sticky residue will still stick to the window...unless you bought some cheap ass tint...RAZOR BLADE is the best way...done it that way for hundreds of cars and buildings...takes about 5 mins a window..a BLOW DRYER..hahaha..gl with that one!

I have 20back35front and the 35 front is still pretty apparent that you have tint. Were you pulled over specifically for tint or were there other reasons?

35 is getting into that "why even bother" range for me... I had about that level of tint on my SHO and I got pulled over and just completely effed with. Cops wanted to search the car for drugs. Tint was just a reason to pull me over, Threw in the towel then.... don't foresee tinting the FA5

im riding around miami with 5% all around... i got 1 ticket so far, and just showed the judge fake pictures of another RR civic from the dealer lol... ive been like this for about a year now... i just make sure when i see a cop i open the sun roof and if its not heated, roll down the windows lol

i had tint and i honestly miss it. i had 5% which was way too dark in ny and i am thinking about getting 35%. most likely ill do this over the summer. tint is ok but its mostly about how dark u do it or where u live

IMHO if you are in Cali just throw in the towel to prevent further snooping. Better to be in a fish bowl than to be getting a fix it ticket or impound.

By Having more light in the cabin from the sunroof being open, the interior will look lighter. Just like since I have 20% tinted in the back, less light is inside so 35% front appears darker than if I didn't have the back tinted at all.

I'm considering tinting my FG2, but I only want to tint the three rear windows. I don't need the tint to be super dark, just dark enough to keep the car cool during the summer. What is the legal % I can do and not get hassled by cops for having tint on my vehicle. This is in Cali BTW.
