hey guys i m wondering shuld I get wheel lug nut locks to protect my wheels from getting jacked? does the locks make the rims look ugly?

got tenzo gt-5's btw ill post pics in another thread soon.

There are "lug locks" that essentially are the same function as wheel locks. However, the lug locks fit over the lugs, while the wheel locks are just a lug with a special socket key that fits on that lug only.

All wheel locks do is keep the honest people honest. If someone wants your wheels they will get them with or without them.

I guess they make some sleep easier at night though.

I've found the type with a slip over socket extension are easier to work with than the ones with the star pattern on the head.

There's really only preventative measures. Like the damaja said, if they want it that badly, they'll take it.

Idea:
Get 5 different wheel locks from 5 different companies:
Rays, Gorilla, McGard, Muteki, Tenzo

They'll never sit there long enough to try and figure them all out -- though they could just impact wrench the **** out of it!
