What are the best fuel rails?

I'm slowly prepping my ride for some cams. My last purchase this summer is going to be a set of RDX injectors and a fuel rail. I'm looking for durability and function. I don't care about colors, nitrous ports, or attached dials or guages, just the best performance and durability.


I have come down to three choices.


1. Hybrid Racing K-Series Fuel Rail : $160.00

2. Skunk2 Composite Fuel Rail K20Z3 : Price: $220.49


Skunk2’s new cutting-edge composite fuel rails are made using our proprietary carbon impregnated aerospace thermo-polymer composite. This material insulates the fuel from both radiant and conductive heat transfer under the hood. Keeping the fuel cooler results in an increase in horsepower and torque. We have seen power gains of up to 3% in real world testing. Skunk2 composite fuel rails feature a large 0.625” internal bore with radius inlets to the injectors thus improving flow characteristics. This type of radius injector inlet design is not possible with extruded and drilled aluminum fuel rails (which have sharp angles internally where the main bore meets the injector bores). Skunk2 fuel rails can be used with factory fuel lines and fuel regulators.
Large 0.625" internal bores help dampen injector pulsations and can support up to 1200hp. Radiused injector inlets for maximum fuel flow. Smooth interior finish and radiused injector outlets are not possible with extruded and machined aluminum fuel rails.

3. K-Tuned Fuel Rail Kit (w/ EFI fittings) : $169.99

This is an adaptation of our rail which includes fittings that work with your OEM fuel lines. This rail is a full bolt on replacement for the OEM fuel rail. The K-Tuned multi-port fuel rail is by far the best looking rail on the market. Using positive customer feedback and the demand to expand our fuel system parts line-up we have added a center port to our popular K-series fuel rail. With many years of R&D and racing history we have designed this third port to be used for multiple purposes:

Now included with our fuel rail is a specially designed fitting that can be used to mount the OEM damper in the factory location. Many of us remove the factory rail and the pressure damper without knowing its purpose. It is actually on the rail for a reason. The purpose of the stock fuel pressure damper is to dampen the minor fuel pressure fluctuations that are caused by the pulsing of the fuel injectors. This is known to cause small air bubbles in the rail, which can starve the injector. The pulsation damper acts as an accumulator to smooth out these pulsations, ensuring more accurate and constant fuel pressure.
Our optional 6AN or 8AN center port fitting can also be used as the fuel feed on stock or all motor engine set-ups to hide or “tuck” the line for the very popular stealth look. Our racing experience with turbo cars, has taught us to never starve a rail on a boosted car. A common high HP setup will use a dual-feed system on both ends of the rail, with a center return.
