I'm talking about variable wipers, not disk brakes, moon roof, or alloy wheels. Honda is cheaping out a little too much. When I bought it, I didn't even check to see if they were variable, I took it for granted that, of course, they were variable. wrong.
To add it, it's not as easy as just swapping out the switch?

That is the one thing that really pissed me off about my LX when I discovered this also.

Don't realize how much you miss it when it is not there.

Honda dropped the ball on leaving that off the LX

its only a variable intermittent senser. cmon guys get serious. the intermittant feature is there. plus when you need it quicker you can either put your lowspeeds on, or the 1 up feature. or if you need it spread apart, just use the one up feature. thats all nonsense stuff that isnt neccesary on a car.

ex and si's really lack headroom, its one thing everytime i get into an si i notice the lack of headroom.

Dude how tall are you? I'm 6'0" and fit perfectly. My friend is 6'6" and he never complains.

I didn't miss it until I was on the highway with salty road spray. No wiper setting worked at the correct timing interval.

From Honda Parts Store it looks like this is the part:
35256-TA0-A12, SWITCH ASSY., WIPER, $20.96
I just need to figure out how easy it is to install... anyone with a service manual?

lol im 6'1". im not hitting my head or anything. just from driving in my lx and randomly getting in an si, aside from the way better accelration, the second thing i notice is the cramped headroom, the moonroff brings it down about 2 inchs.

a moonroof may be a nice option, all my previous cars have had it and i personally have hardly used it. and on a non-si civic, the last thing we need is the added weight of that glass and motors

I just ordered the part. I'll create a new thread about the installation. Thanks for the lead from CHH on how to get the steering column cover off, that'll save some head scratching.
