Hello.

So one day I was driving my 08 EX sedan as usual, just like any other day, and then all of a sudden, the ‘D’ light starts flashing, and I get scared, then the ABS and BRAKE light comes on, and then off intermittently. And then I notice my A/C will no longer engage, and neither will cruise control. THEN, shortly after all this, the tach will fall to zero, the temperature gauge will show nothing, and the CEL will come on, but will all come back to life in a couple of seconds. This whole problem is off and on. It will happen on startup, and sometimes it won’t be there, but then after a short while driving, it will come back. Got only one code: U0155 which is a loss of communication with the instrument panel cluster. The car seems to run like normal apart from this happening.

What could this be? I tried checking the battery, the battery cables, I checked the gauge cluster connections and found nothing loose or bad wires… I need to use this car but I don’t want to continue driving it with this issue…

Do the controls for the radio work? While I have no direct experience with this error, I have read your issue may be due to a faulty clock spring which is a wiring device in the steering wheel. Here is a link to a similar issue.

Gauge Cluster Dead?

My gauge cluster seems to be doing this on/off lately sometimes just for a couple min. to days on end? when it gets on this "mode" I can't pull any codes, and when it returns to normal I can. It said code UO155-lost communication with something I forgot but its a big deal I guess something with...
