So I think Ive decided I want to go with the prokit for my daily driven fa5. Im not looking for a huge drop and want to maintain the ride comfort. My stock shocks have over 130k on them so Im going to replace them at the same time. In the article on redshift it says either the orange's or truhart's would be fine with this mild of a drop. My question is will the truharts lower the car any more because of the shorter length? Is anyone running one of these combos that could give some first hand experience?

Did your car stay the same height when you installed the shocks?

Either shock would serve you well. We've gotten a lot of positive feedback from the Koni Orange shocks, and we have great pricing on them. I've driven with Koni Orange shocks before too and they were great.

The Koni orange is the same as the yellow just without the damping adjustment. Consider them yellows on full soft setting.

Thanks guys. I dont ever plan on tracking it but have a trip to the dragon planned in October and just general spirited street driving. I know the Koni's are true and tested but the Truharts may be worth checking out with the lifetime warranty.

I would do the Koni orange with Swift Sport springs. I don't like the Eibach Prokit... they have a harsh feel on bad roads and bind early. The Swift Sport Mach is the best comfort lowering spring out there... no question.

Is there any concern with bottoming out the car with the softer spring rates?

They aren't softer than stock... no concern. Stock springs still the softest.

How would you compare the H&R Sports against the Swifts and Prokits? I dont really hear too much about them here.

Ill take your advice though if you think the Swifts are worth the extra money

i had the prokit on my 7th gen DD and loved it...paired with Tokico blues rode like a dream.

I like the h&r spring lots actually. They don't publish any spring rates, which is a pain. The hr sports were similar to the Tein s.tech but more expensive. So I usually recommend the teins. But the hr springs are top notch quality.
