Hey guys,

Just did a skunk2 strut/lowering spring install and I'm having some noise over larger bumps, sounds like some lose bolts, I've rechecked and re-tightened all the bolts and I'm still having the noise.

I re-used the tophat from my stock struts and i have the arrow pointed towards the front of the car as stated here:

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/suspension-brakes/292430-top-hat-orientation-struts.html

has anyone had to point the arrow on the top-hats in a different direction to get rid of the noise? I.E. towards the engine bay or rear of car?

also could this noise be from the bumpstop? I didn't cut the factory bumpstop and it's sitting pretty low now just wondering if i might just be hitting the bumpstop.

Probably coil slap. Common with these springs. These are designed exactly like sportlines but don't include any spring isolators. Grab some isolators, look at where Eibach includes them. Put them on. Sound should go away.
