my other car has yellow fog light too, never got a ticket because of that.

just go dispute the ticket. if the cop doesn't show up, you win. if he shows up, u can ask why you got the ticket since stock cars such as lexus or whatever make and model comes with stock yellow light...
Fraser Heights Area. It's weird cause the cops in that area are pretty layed back seeing it's one of the "nicer" areas of surrey. lol
Damn that really sucks :( I have friends in that area so I pick them up and drop them off too. Is there a particular place inside FH that i should be aware of? TIA

I am gonna call the traffic squad this morning and see if i can make an appointment with the head traffic cop of burnaby. I can't even belevie I am going to visit the cops, usually I am running fast and far away from them.

For the record all RCMP are paid to go to court if tickets are disputed.

okay I got some good news regarding the DRL yellow lights, the motor vehicle inspection place is next door to my work and I was outside and found 3 officers outside chatting so I walked up to them and asked since they are the experts.

As long as your DRLS come on when u have your car in motion is ok and yellow amber or white is fine. I told them about 2 of my friends getting pulled over in Surrey and Richmond and they just shook their heads and said that was not right.

So fight the ticket.....and good luck. I even showed them my car for reference with out turning on my hids.

It's a confusing mix when OT is brought into the picture, I've never gotten my brother to explain it fully as we normally don't discuss financial matters in extreme detail except our mortgages... haha!
It works like any other union. Work so many a week, anything over you get what would be your hourly and sometimes that goes to time and a half.

Either way, sure is enough incentive to go to court lol

I've only been ticketed twice in my life and they have both been on intersections of 104th-168th and 104th-160th (Fraser Heights Side). They seem to only drive along the main roads in that area. Basically they jump on 160th, over the overpass, right on 104th, left on 168th, left on 108th, left on 160th and back over the overpass. It's a quick loop to patrol fraser heights but i rarely see cops in the area. They only pull you over for petty stuff. a Bent front plate back in 2007 and yellow DRL in 2010? Give me a fcuking break...

You can most certainly have yellow fogs... or at least amber? Curious as to their definition of amber, but anyways:

Fog lamps

4.11 (1) A motor vehicle may be equipped with 2 fog lamps, mounted on the front of the vehicle below the headlamps, that are capable of displaying only white or amber light.

But looking at the code, yellow DRLs are a problem because they're actually headlamps, high beams just run at low voltage.

Headlamps

4.05 (1) A motor vehicle must be equipped with either one or 2 headlamps mounted on each side of the front of the vehicle and capable of displaying white light.

I know its confusing.. since rcmp gets salaried and not hourly rate right? so if they do OT.. how would that be computed? Get the actual hourly rate from their salaried wage and multiply it by 1.5 since its overtime?

Cause normally.. salaried people .. doesnt get paid overtime.. so the more hours you do.. when ur computing ur earnings.. its like your hourly rate goes down...so its wiser not to go over 80hours of work every 2weeks for people who are earning salaried wage :)

I work roughly 60 hours a week, I only get paid for 40. Times like when I was sick in hospital work is good to me and does not ding me for it pay wise or vacation time wise. They know I start early hours and work long days so they give me a pass this way.

I wish I was hourly, I would be making so much more cash.

same here, being salaried, even if i go more than 8 hrs/day i don't get paid for the extra hours but i can bank it and have a short day and still get paid in full. also the next good thing about being salaried are the profit sharing and the mid year and yearend bonus.

sorry off topic
