This wierd as popping noise is getting worse and worse

... When i begin to roll and let the clutch out past the friction point I get this weird pop or clunk. It only happens when its a little warmer outside, not usually when its cold and in the morning... Originally I thought I had this problem diagnosed as the slack coming out of the drive line and making this odd noise, but now it also happens sometimes when im coming to a stop and there is no clutch engagement what so ever. I dunno what to think of it guys, but I know it doesnt sound good!

I've heard of a lot of cases of popping and clunking sounds from the suspension and wheel wells. I just have a clunking from the rear wheels.

I've almost given up trying to get my car to the level of quality I expected, because it's just never going to happen: for every thing I get "fixed", two more things pop up.
i hear ya, but i dunno you think it could be supension related if it happens at a starting roll and sometimes slowing down to a stop?... also this is a recent problem not something that has been going on forever. Do you think if I applied some zaino to it, that would solve my worries ;)
Do you have an aftermarket dogbone/power stick/torque dampener?

Is it only at low speeds, light acceleration? Not sure if it's the same clunk as me, but my clunk has always been the dogbone when I have wheel hop or hit a pothole or bump under hard acceleration.
nope had the ETD but not anymore, and its only under light acceleration and sometimes coming to a stop

I have this same clunk. It is usually when exiting a parking lot or something with a steep "driveway" going down to the road.

I have never heard anything like this coming from the driveline.
ya this is definately not the case, its starting to worry me guys, what would you suggest i do? dealer will do nothing for me i dont believe.
-duplicate the sound as much as possible so you can get a very good idea and try and pinpoint where its coming from before you go under the car on a blind search.

-a loose brake will cause a bind on the caliper and then a clunk as you start to apply the brake.

-get in there and look around. have a friend rock the motor a little (have the car on stands of course) and listen, or have him start the car and have him engage gears and let the clutch out while you're under there to maybe find the problem.
i got the same problem... i brought it in to the dealer... soo far they replaced the bump stop... motor mount... now they are going to fix my cv boot..im pretty sure sumthin is loose with our suspension or something is wrong with our top hat on top of our springs
let me know if you find out wats wrong wit it
see I was also thinking maybe the CV joint like its suspension related... I wonder if they would be reluctant to replace my CV boot and other suspension components, and/or motor mounts with all of my mods?!?!

malaligned clutch, lose bolt on the housing or flywheel can cause that, or even a damaged throwout bearing. Axel clip could be bent. any driveline mount, i'm not sure if the SI has equal length shafts but if it does look at the mounts on the side with the shorter half. Take it to honda, let them deal with it.
My car makes this slight pop sound from the front area, it only makes it on the first start of the morning or whenever I go to drive the car for the first time for the day. Its really wierd.:eek:hnoes:

um my short shifter could make that a problem... fauck should I just try and remove the cable bushings and put the factory ones back on and take it in? and clues as to how to get the evil C clamps off?

before you start tearing apart you car take it to some friends, take it to any shop that does free estimates....ect... I once had a shop drop a tranny, take it apart, put it back together because it was a "free inspection of any problem" and it happened to be a clutch pack problem....OWNED double A m C O son
