I've had this car since Sep 2019 but just found this site. Never thought I'd own any kind of Honda, but bought an '08 EX and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

So far I've done:
Spec-D headlights and taillights
Enkei EDR9 17" rims

And I plan on doing:
Rockford Fosgate speakers
Jackhammer 10" Sub
Si spoiler
35% tint
Make at least 250 hp (currrently at stock 140)

Below is what it currently looks like along with a pic of the first day I saw it.

Amazing photo with the sunset. I recently purchased spec d also. Unfortunately they (the company who I purchased the brand from) sent me the sedan lights when I specifically asked for the coupe pairs. I was somewhat sour. But those look amazing. I can’t wait to get the right ones. Where did you order/purchase them? I’m looking for the right ones lol said company didn’t have the right ones. Wish they had stated so beforehand.
Mmmkay so.
I’ve been here since like 7 months ago and totally forgot about it. So. Here we go.
I purchased my 08 lx coupe from a bhph three years ago and overpaid LOL whatever. But. Now that Rhonda is FINALLY mine I am able to fix her because she had a dreaded noise from the beginning and let’s face it, we’ve all made dumb decisions before. This was mine LOL. I purchased knowing she had a knock, or what we think is a possible knock or pin loose. I was desperate for a ride and I have ZERO regrets now. She’s getting her transplant tomorrow.

Hi everyone, my name is Brandon and I barely purchased my 2009 Civic LX sedan a couple of months ago from a car auction and so far there hasn't been any issues in the last 4 months I've been driving it. I'm really new to everything here since this is my first car ever and I really am interested in modding it and upgrading it. Any advice I can get will always be appreciated, and hopefully I'm happy with everything I do to it!

Hi. I am a long time Honda owner but I am here now for my '07 SI that was recently wrecked (a Deer ran into me) and I want/need to get it back together to have an inspection to get my title back. This is how it currently sits. =(

Hi Kee, My name is Whie my suggestion is try to find a junk/scrap yard close to your place and check or ask if they have an 8th Gen Honda Civic Si fender and bumper.
no point to do that. you can find new or used front bumpers lights grille brackets etc all on ebay. Including HFP replicas or some real ones. If you are going to Mod a R18 i suggest you follow others builds to see what you want to do and how much money it will cost. Some of us have gone along way with our Cars and STILL HAVE THEM. Others like me are currently modding a 8th gen almost done in my eyes but i have made and created alot of custom parts. So use this forum or youtube to find what you like and research research research.

hi,

taking care of an inherited 07 civic with 93k on it in Northern VA, outside DC. wont really be souping it up, will be doing work on it myself.

also into cycling, running, bowling, and am an inveterate movie geek.
Hello 8thcivic, I don't have a photo yet, but I just bought a 2007 FA5 today.

Just a backstory, I used to be on this site back in 2008-2009 when I was obsessed with the Si, but I was still a kid just out of high school. Couldn't really afford it, and ended up with a used Fit instead. After the fit, I went into a VW GTI phase, and traded up to a 2012 GTI DSG. Fun car/DD, I put a lot of miles on it in my previous sales job. Little brother now owns the GTI, and I have a 986 2.7 5spd Boxster as a weekend car.

Until recently, I had a company car, but just started a new job. Been DDing the Boxster, and as an outside sales rep, I feel like I gave off a negative impression pulling up to sales calls and prospecting in a Porsche. I decided to buy a DD and remembered how much I wanted an FA5 back then.

I've been in training for the past 3 months, and have been looking at the market every single day. I complete my final day of training tomorrow and am officially off to prospecting full time. This morning couldn't have came at a better time, as I was up really early and saw a brand new listed 07 with low miles. I finished as much of my training work as I could (it's WFM atm), and drove 2 hours each way to go test drive.

I was handed the keys and told I can go test drive on my own, which is a first for me as most dealerships send someone along. I'm guessing Covid changed this. Almost little car, I don't think I could have picked a better DD! ASM, 1 owner, garaged, and didn't feel any of the transmission issues. Rev hang will take some getting used to, but I'm about to order a Hondata right now. Car's currently being serviced right now, so I'm gonna go back to pick it up tomorrow or Saturday. Super excited to be here again even though I know it's probably not as active as it was back in 2009 lol

Welcome! Forum is definitely quiet now - a lot of it has moved to Facebook. But some people (bless them) like to stay active in here keeping the spirits alive.

Despite admin-ing a few of the Facebook groups, I still miss the forums because there’s a wealth of information here and I like to stay on top of it to help new members feel like they’re still supported.

Hello. I've been lurking this forum for quite a few years and decided to make an account. I've always searched through these threads for research when diagnosing issues or looking for upgrades.

I bought a clapped out 2007 Fiji Blue Civic Si in 2019 as a winter beater car to use while my 2017 Focus RS sits in the garage.
Welp alot of bad things happened in 2020 and I had to sell off the Focus RS. But its all good...because I am having way more fun in the Si 🤣

This was the car that got me started working on my own cars. I've learned alot with this car, and I love working on this car. I drive it hard. I BEAT THE **** OUT OF IT.

Before:
Bad CMC, Low Oil, Seized Calipers, Bad Rotors, Blown struts, Bad AC compressor, No Parking Brake, Gear Lockout...
244821

Current form:
After 2 years...Everything Fixed Plus Mods
1320 header + test pipe
Hasport 62a mounts (rear, trans, engine)
Ktuned shifter cables
Exedy CmC
Exedy Pro Clutch
MTL Redline MT Fluid
9.5lbs chromoly flywheel
K&N Typhoon intake
Will be getting a Yonaka exhaust next week.

Next plans is to finally get a hondata flashpro to get it tuned.
And future plans is to get the car repainted the with the same color since the clear is fading.

Here is how my car sounds with 1320 headers + test pipe + stock exhaust

Thanks for the code! Man, I'm super excited. Dealership told me that it is still being serviced and will be done tomorrow now. I've already ordered like $1000 in parts, but I'll most likely keep it to just that for now hahah.

I bought a flashpro, SRI, red emblems, hitch, hitch bike rack.

Can't wait to drive and mess around with this thing lol

Welcome to the forum bro 😎. I still stalk these halls frequently. Even though the FB groups are more convenient, the wealth of information here, surpasses what’s on FB. Not to mention a bit easier to find.
However the photos on this site are not like what’s on FB. The photo hosting sites used to post pics, have forced many to remove their photos resulting in less illustrations.
