There is a gas station [Sunoco] by my house that sells 100 octane gas for $6.99/gallon.

Is that good for our motors? Maybe if we upgraded the internals? I don't know. Was just wondering on the consequences and the gains...

I would think that would be good for FI engines... the ignition of the gas maybe to hot for the engine to handle... I dunno... I'd be VERY careful using that. Then again i'm not an expert on the octane level's and engines... anyone else?

Is fine just don't use it all the time, but with your beenin stock it only make you run rich.

Tons of bad info in this thread!

Octane does not = more BTU
Octane has very little effect on a/f ratio (unless its alchol or E85)
high octane does not clean a motor

Overall it is a pure waste of money.

You won't see any gains, the motor isn't tuned to take advantage of that fuel.

There's a station I always drive by on the way to New England Dragway in Epping NH that sells 100 octane fuel.
