Hello,

My 2007 EX has started to make a slight squeal while making a U-turn. Haven't heard anything while making regular turns.

looked at power steering fluid level and it was fine.

Anything else that I should look for or ask the mechanic when i take it to the shop?

Thanks,

Went to dealer. After quite a bit of time, mechanic found that - it happened only when engine is hot and the squeak is coming from Rack and Pinion...SMH....

Honda,,, Honda... Honda..... where art thou quality that we've heard so highly of....

I already answered this on another forum, you probably know.

Change your Power Steering Fluid and see if that will make a difference. Maybe it could be that the oil is just old and dirty.

I had P/S fluid flushed 2.5 years and only 16K miles in that time..
However, Honda dealer used BG instead of Honda and I'm wondering if that could cause this issue since mechanic reported that he was able to reproduce only when car got hot.

Perhaps BG p/s fluid breaks at hot temp differently than genuine Honda p/s fluid...

Some posts suggested that P/S components squeal with fluids other than genuine Honda P/S fluid.. Might perhaps try that and see
