Discussion Starter #1
So my 2007 Honda Civic Lx ended up dying on me fairly recently and I tackled the problem which was the starter and replaced it all in all. However for some reason the top long bolt does not want to screw in any further to where it needs to go. The bottom bolt goes right in. I’ll upload photos to show what exactly I am talking about. What should I do. Before getting a tow for one bolt to be put on.

When I try to screw it in it goes to a certain point and just stops btw. In the photo I tried to screw it in without the starter to see if it would seat all the way and it didn’t.

Look in the hole. If needed use a mirror. Also i would try some anti seize on the threads. Either some junk is in the hole or the threads are trashed. From the pic the threads dont look great on the bolt.

You would need to get a tap but a chaser not a cutting tap and maybe clean up the threads on the bolt as well.
