neat little chart
1st and 2nd gear pack 200rpms into a 1mph increase. Thats what makes the Si a fast little car. And packs in 17200rpms to reach 60mph compared to a high torque car like a porches that can pull 0-60 in one gear.

Yeah, I just found that one myself. I want to do a chart in excel (I am not an excel Wizard) but I want to make it so each line for the respective gear is colored like in the chart. (Ie, normally black but is blue during the hondata rpm's, orange during vtec, ect.)

I'll fiddle with excel but if anyone has any tips please share.

the 06 Si's are NOT governed as with pretty much every Honda b4 these years... remember early Honda's never had a limiter... but of course the motor would stop once it reaches it's limit in power... same with the 06 Si... the newer ones are limited to 133 i believe...

the Si stock will only go about 134 stock unless u had a really long stretch of "track" to work with... then u can creep up a bit more... at that shift tho ur right on the dip on the power band so it's hard to get past that...

150! lol
My 5.0L mustang with 300ft-lbs or torque can hit 150 but I don't think this car could do it.
u do know that torque gets u off the line and horsepower keeps u moving right??

Torque = force
HP = force times distance = work. In this case the distance is the lever, ie: the wheels since we're talking about rotational forces. Anyway, I should have said 225hp. I spoke of the torque because it pulls really hard on the highway even at like 3000 rpm! Peak Hp is at 4200 and it redlines at 6000. Peak torque is at 3000rpm. It's so much easier driving the civic!

another thing the stang is RWD so it loses way more hp/tq than FWD cars... even if u have 225hp the real number is still a lot closer to the Si's... not to mention the Si has pretty much a flat tq curve resulting in power whenever we need it especially in the higher rpms wher the top speed would be easier to achieve...

don't get me wrong i'm not saying that these cars stock can do 150mph but with a little bit of help to get it past that dip in the power band (which is where 5-6 shift is) 150 is easily accessible...

i hit 235km/h NP with plenty or rpm to sare... so i dont see why not, the problem is that 6th isnt a power gear, we fall out of veetak in 6th and thats with redlining 5th to 215km/h

this is unflashed stock.
