spark plug cover bolt

17909 Views 11 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  netbaixc
I painted my valve cover a little while ago and when I was putting it back together I accidentally torked one of the spark plug tube bolts that goes through the spark plug cover then holds the spark plug cover on with an acorn nut. But I found the bolt a while ago and then I lost it and can't find it again. Does anyone know where I can get a new bolt? :sadbanana:

You can usually find a suitable replacement at Lowes/Home Depot or a hardware store. BUTTT...if you want an OEM one that looks right and frs perfectly, hit up a dealer. If you're nice, you might be able to have someone ask the techs and see if anyone has a spare, if not a brand new one shouldn't run you too much. I'm not 100% sure which bolt you need or I could give you a price.
Lol it happens man. The dealership can't control it unfortunately. And they aren't a commonly needed part from my experience so most places won't stick them, or stock many if they do. Have you check around and some aftermarket bolts/nuts? You might be able to pick up a nice anodized set for a little more than the single stock one.
