There was an attempted suicide here in Hamilton today. A person jumped off the Skyway Bridge and fell approximately 120 feet into the freezing waters below and was still alive when the cops/fire/paramedics found her.

ya that, i dont have sympathy for those that want to suicide but at the same time it makes me sad. since i had a friend who suicided =[.

how long before cops got to him? hypothermia can kill in around 20-30 minutes

The wife who works in the ER at the hospital in Burlington, said the victim was barely alive when they came out of the water, but died on the short trip to the ER. Massive internal injuries from hitting the water so hard. The OPP station is about 1 k away from the bridge, so I guess they got there pretty fast.

My wife works at the Casino.

Some lady lost all her money the other day...walked out to the outdoor smoking area...climbed the railing and jumped.
