Took the Si yesterday during the blizzard in Long Island yesterday (75 miles roundtrip) and talk about scary. I have the default all weather Michellins and on the way back I could feel the car fishtailing (last thing you need on the Long Island Expressway is over correcting). I've never driven so far at such a low speed in my Civic (26-41 mph). Tons of cars stuck in ditches -why is it SUV drivers have this false sense of security that AWD + traction control=uneffected by snow and icy roads?

that is insane! but its ok not like the Vikings were any good this year with the whole Favre saga
Sad, but true...

Why don't they just give the dome a real roof?

It's only made for the nylon crap that it was designed for back in the 80s... A brand new nylon roof would cost a lot, and wouldn't be worth our tax money since we're in talks for a new stadium anyway.

No snow here yet.

What's with the road-checks in that Canadian video?

Just wondering, honestly, how bad was the blizzard in the east ??? I know you guys don't get snow like that all the time, but seriously...how bad was it? Just wondering!
More than a foot of snow with snowdrifts up to about 20 inches, it just kept coming down like crazy from Sunday morning past midnight with 20-50 mph winds. First time I've ever seen a whiteout -the tow truck in 20 feet front of me literally disappeared!

Wasn't bad at all.

It was a decent snowfall for first snow of the season though.

"Blizzard" would require at least twice as much snowfall...possibly even 3x as much.

By definition, the difference between blizzard and a snowstorm is the strength of the wind. To be a blizzard, a snow storm must have winds in excess of 56 km/h (35 mph).[1] Additionally, blizzards must reduce visibility to 400 metres (1,300 ft) or less and must last for a prolonged period of time — typically three hours or more.

NYC got exactly that.
Made $1500 shoveling peoples driveways/sidewalks the day after. :)
