The key to making power with bigger cams in this car is in the tuning. You must have a way to tune the cam angles. Here are our last two threads if you havent seen them.WTF I want that.....i'm about to buy stage 1 cams but i'm not sure now..... more info please and WTF K-Pro???
From what ive read, i would recommend that you guys should think about upgrading the stock tensioner to something from hybrid racing when it comes or something from toda.We finally got the Skunk2 s2 cams installed and tuned in our 07 Si and we VERY happy with the results. The K20z3 engine is still stock but with Skunk2 springs, retainers, and stage 2 cams. This is on top of the I/H/E and Kpro we having already done to this car. Here is a teaser,

I cant post the full results until Skunk2 and one of the magazines sees them but I will post them as soon as I can. But I think you can get the point from the vid :vtec:
We have Skunk2 cams in many cars and have never had a tensioner fail. From what we have found over the last few years of building and tuning the K series engines we think the problem is in the chain not the tensioner. The chains will stretch over time and even faster with big cams and heavy springs. I have seen timing chains stretch one whole link. We check and replace the chains all the time and it seems to work for us. Some people also had problems with the older version of the Skunk2 cams because the center line was off on the exhaust cam. Not everyone had a problem with it but Skunk2 went ahead and revised the cams anyway. The new version 3 cams have been out since spring dont have any issues or require an exhaust cam gear. From what ive read, i would recommend that you guys should think about upgrading the stock tensioner to something from hybrid racing when it comes or something from toda.

"these are my driving pants"Wow... imagine if there was a plug and play rsx-s ecu with kpro the potential... sick video
lmao, Im so sick of waiting for a decent plug and play that actually controls everything not just a piggy back. Im going to the Sema show in Nov im going to have a nice talk with hondata in person"these are my driving pants"

I really dont feel Hondata is at fault here, Honda is. Honda was the ones that thought it would be a good idea to go to a DBW and MAF along with the CAN system. Now that I have gotten to know these SIs better I can see why is taking Hondata so long and why it more than likely wont be "PnP" once/if it does come out. There are just so many problems to over come with the first and biggest ones being the DBW and the MAF. If they do stay with the DBW and MAF they will limit the potential for power and their market.lmao, Im so sick of waiting for a decent plug and play that actually controls everything not just a piggy back.
