I got a call from my friend Patrick (trickazn) that Skunk2 was looking for a car with their products to develop FlashPro maps for their cams. I instantly said yes and contacted them. They wanted to test the stage 1 and stage 2 cams on my car since I already had their header and 70mm exhaust.

08 Civic Si Engine Mods:

Hondata Flash-Pro
Injen CAI
Skunk2 Header
Skunk2 70mm

Skunk2 Stage 1 Cams
Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams (with upgraded valvetrain)

Stock Cams Vs. Stage 1 Cams

Stage 1 Cams vs Stage 2 Cams

When i got my car back and turned the key the first thing that went through my mind was holy **** this thing is bad!!! My car kinda sounds like a subaru when im driving conservitavely and when the cams open up it sounds like a sports bike lol.
FAWK!!! When Adrian came to my house yesterday, it was like a jet plane was cruising by the roof!! Seriously SEXY!!!!!!
The power is amazing and the car is smooth. The guys at Skunk2 are very cool people and really nice they worked with me on the cams and made the most power as they could out of stage 1 and stage 2 camshafts.

I would definately recommend these cams for anyone wanting to make the most hp out of there car cause they made awesome power. Not only did they make crazy numbers but they are affordable and not expensive like IPS cams and most camshafts out there. These cams are the best bang for your buck just like the Skunk2 header. I really love their customer service and affordable prices. Thats why i chose these mods.

Thanks to Trickyazn(for the hook up), Skunk2, Tony Shagday (the man who made it happen) , Dr. Charels & Mario (for hard working on my car), vicky (for making me feel at home), Dave (free lunch FTW!!!) Church Automotive, Doug from Hondata, ::project Import:: technology & spirit LA crew, OC crew, limonite crew, and 8thcivic

those are some great numbers.

which one did you end up keeping?
so you dont have to upgrade the valvetrain with stage 1?
no you dont need to but its recommended
So if i keep the stock redline would you still recomend it? Might not make as much peak hp but I think it would still be worth it. I can understand if your spinning to 9k but Coming from a 360 in my dodge that didnt like anything over 5k to much i always think im gonna blow my car up......
Great numbers, thanks for getting this information out to the community. :1:
awesome numbers, thanks for the dyno, will deff help with the decision.
what did you upgrade for the valvetrain? spings, retainers, cam gears?
are you still using the stock tensioner? did you change out the cam gears?
don't know if i should be impress or not with the stage 1 vs stock, lost midrange and gain top only, same with stage 2.
same thing I was thinking....for being tuned I'd expect a little more from a stg 2 cam,but you can't hate of free or cheap parts so there ya go.

Good eye, I was just going to say that...
255whp/177tq from a 2.0L engine :eek::eek::eek:

from 4500-6000 rpm, it seems lost some hp/tq. but impressive gain after 6000 rpm. well, it wont stick at 4500-5500 rpm too much when we pushing the car.
we can only get the tuner series right?

Thats what I thought also, but I'm pretty sure its not whp. Even though it says Fly Wheel power, the TCF (correctional factor) is 1.00 not 1.15 or wtv, so I really dont know. But 255whp is more likely to be seen with a s/c not just cams.

On another note, those are some pretty sick results.

How's the idle? and where are the VIDS???
