Any one in here running them? And is it worth the cash, was considering some. I do already have some tsx cams sitting that I was planning to install but id like some real opinion, car will be boosted later in the future and I wont be changing the cams after boost.

Yeah because Skunk2 says it, it must be the truth! Lol. Also, at least some IPS cams have smoother ramp rates than stock cams iirc ;)
skunk 2 is around to back their product . I don't see anything negative. People running them are happy with the power gains . If you have a question they are there to help . Means a lot to me compared to calling the person you bought used cams from when and if there is a question. skunk2 was not my first choice but it turned out to be the only cams available new which is all i would do is new. I am glad it worked that way because I am very happy with them . the first 2 cam sets I tried to buy were not being produced at the time. that tells me a lot.

Wow, that's truly impressive! I didn't know that. Just goes to show you how some companies invest time and money into engineering a solid product from the get go, without sacraficing reliability (or making several different versions to fix a product that should have been designed well from the beginning). And I know b.r.i.a.n. was saying in the Skunk2 Stage 3 cams review thread that V3s still have chain slap (when other reputable brands don't. hmm.....)

Gotta love how people completely ignore the whole Skunk2 scandal that took place with on k20a.org with Nikos, Blazed, and others. Even if people want to argue that "the allegations weren't true," I've never heard about HyTech, Drag Cartel, or Toda, having similar issues. In fact, all of those companies have a stellar reputation for quality and customer service.

In my comment, I was just advising that people should be well informed about the products they are buying. If, after doing extensive research, you still want to buy the product, at least you know what you're getting yourself into.

 If you got chain slap you got a stretched chain but there is a limit to how much stretch can happen before a DTC is set. Preload the TCT to get rid of the clap, simple as that. 2 clicks is all thats needed..

i guess this is your opportunity to start **** again now huh..

Skunk2 stage 1 cams will NOT have problems. B.r.i.a.n said its more of the Stage2 cams. Hes like with those its a hit or miss to be honest but they do make power period.

You never heard of issues with other cam companies bc you are soo hard headed. I've read one thread who had a TCT problem with DC 2.2
( i hope i can find it) but does that mean DC is a ****ty company bc it happened ...Plain and simple like i repeatedly told you, k series VT is sooo much more sensitive than to B-series that its bound to happen with ANY cam company.

not one problem with my cams nor by 08vtecyo who said he was coming up on 15,000 miles on his stage 1 cams but i guess you missed that bc you were just skunk2 bashing ready.

:rotfl: That's like a company making condoms saying "Well our condoms are really hit or miss." I wouldn't buy those condoms, would you?

I'm hard headed? Hahaha. Ok. Says the guy that continues to argue with me. I'm just enjoying myself at this point.

Yes, DC isn't a crappy company because it hasn't had a scandal of the magnitude of Skunk2. And I haven't read or heard of any other cam company that I mentioned that has had a scandal like that. If you find me a thread about a scandal like that for DC, Toda, or Hytech, I may reconsider, but until then, you've got nothing.

Oh, and a whole 2 people saying their Skunk2 cams are great after 15k miles (whoopty do, I drive that in a year) doesn't mean crap. Like I said, after I see a cylinder head that ran Skunk2 cams for 100k miles that looks pristine, I may reconsider my position. Until then, fight on. This is fun.

So do Kelford cams...
The air is very thin in Denver. :deadhorse: :screwy:

LOL yeah so you know hes not making power
I was making 217/173 on 91 piss water @ 6000ft with bolt on. Denver area is mile high'ish. I would assume S2 dic set is capable of ~230ish.
Depends on the dyno. At Racing Trenz I made 235whp and on Import Sports Dyno I made 198whp (I'm assuming that's corrected for altitude). But I did gain about 20whp with my setup even at this altitude over my bolt-ons.

217/173 corrected

Not a mother****ing chance that's uncorrected horsepower.

You'd be lucky to hit 200 whp uncorrected.
Thanks for the clarification, i figured as much.

SAE correction is simply for comparison purposes to fill in either your advantageous weather or your disadvantageous weather.

I'd guess with 6000 ft elevation you'd be making something like 190-200 with good bolt-ons. Maybe 205-210 with camshafts.
Yes exactly. But i tell ya what, when I go to Kansas elevation @ 2000ft, the car feels like 250hp! Chirping tires without even trying.
I like San Diego....sea level :hiding:
My Si felt like a beast in San Dizzy. I miss it lol...
