Just put on a Si Axleback onto my R18, i've noticed it's been making a rattling noise when the car is idle or after accelerating. When installing it, my mechanic told me i didn't need a gasket, so i never bought an Si gasket. Could that be my problem?

I bought the (donut style) gasket, when I did mine & no rattles.

i was told you could also use the gasket from ur r18 as well

the bolt springs are loose. Place washers or stretch out the springs.

This is correct. I gave my axleback to my uncle, and it has been on his R18 for the past year with no issues.
