Shifting into second

Hello this is my first forum post ever and I need help figuring out why when I shift into second at 7,000 rpm but doesn’t catch and accelerate right away or that’s what it feels like what could the issue be

First, You have a lead foot. Second your clutch is likely slipping due to abuse.
