Hello, my girlfriend bought a new car and gave me her 2008 honda civic DX to sell. Oh yeay me.
she was pretty good at maintenance so I thought this should be pretty easy but Noooo. The rear frame rails are rotten so it won't pass a safety here in Ontario, Canada.
Typically anything to do with Frame rails being rotten pretty much writes the car off but I'm getting some pressure here from the other half so I promised I would look into options.
I am quite familiar around cars as I built a few race cars in my days so I'm looking into options as to fixing the frame rails. (which I know will involve welding - one of my fun hobby's)
Has anyone done this before? if you did where did you get the parts (I'm assuming a frame rail sleeve)?
I'm going to spend some time checking to ensure there is useable metal around it for welding.
