Hmm.. I am getting to a point that I feel like I need to do something about rust problem on the wheel (the metal on which the brake pads make contact).
Everytime it rains or gets moisture on it, it gets really rusty. How do I fix it? It's even more visible now that I changed the rims.... rust shows through my unused bolt openings and everything...
I want to do it during the next tire rotation...
Please help.

You know I was curious as to how people are getting the rust off the outer rim of the rotors too. Im thinking just some CLR would do it but then what kind or rust prevention could I do.

no just driving it doesn't remove rust. WTF kind of answer is that anyway?

rust on the rotors is normal, most of it comes off when you first hit the brakes. You will end up spending a lot of time trying to chase the rust and it will just keep coming back
