This is the way I ran my 4ga wire, A 0/1 should be able to do the same except where I went through the plastic in the engine compartment, you might have to drill,

Step 1,

Open engine compartment and remove side trim on the driverside.

Step 2

Under the driverside dash on the side of the car is a plug, pull out the plug and run your wire through it into the sealed fender of your car, push as much wire through as you can untill you can reach it from the engine compartment, you may need a hanger or grab tool to get the wire. Make sure you cut a hole in the plug and run the wire through it (use a grommet if your wiring kit had one) then replace the plug, nothing worse than a draft.

Step 3

Remove clip over your trunk lock, and remove the panels, be carful of the center pillar, inside it is the airbag sensor(not that you could set it off but if you damage it it might not work when you want it) and remove your rear panels, now you can either pull the seat out or just push the wire through the space into the trunk.

there is a space to run the wire when this is removed,

And voila Power to the trunk, with no drilling, or altering of any metal or material in your car except the plug.

This is what you get after all the work lol.

I hope this helps, if any of the pics need to be better just ask I'll go out and take some more with panels off etc.

I hope this post isn't too long. sorry if it is

I had this posted Before and people keep askin about it so I figured I'd start a new thread with just this post, If the moderators want to add it to the DIY go to it:wave:

Do you know if its the same for a '09 sedan? I have been messing with it for so long to run my wire trying the drivers side and tonight tried running down the passenger side. Found a hole on the passenger side but while feeding the wire through from the outside, I lost the wire and can'f find it on the inside.

Definitely in need of some help. Trying not to drill if at all possible.

After trying to run a power wire for about 3 hours I gave up. 09 Si Coupe. None of the DIY on here are accurate with my car. They are close but not close enough. I refuse to drill holes or pay someone $200 to run a wire in my car.

Now that my hands are bloody and raw from trying to run a power wire I packed everything up and decided to sell it all... lol. Having a sub is not that important to me, I am putting the money towards a flashpro.

Not that disappointed.

I see that... I'm also just being silly.

If you are referring the the crappy components I was going to install then you are correct. I had stuff lying around and I had no desire to spend money on useless audio equipment. I was bored and thought I would give it a shot.

I am no audio expert but I am experienced enough in the field to complete the job. I went into the install on the fence about having subs in my car so I was not that driven to work around issues I ran into. It was hot, I was tired so I said eff it and sold the stuff for my FlashPro fund. My fiancee is giving me grief about not putting it towards our wedding lol.

No need to make assumptions about people and their knowledge of a subject with out knowing them. I'm sure I am much further along in my expertise than others but I don't go around putting them down. I'm sure people would love to pick your brain to make their install go much smoother.

you can but dont expect much from it . sub s need to be in a box . if you find a sub to fit, its going to want to be in a box . and free air like the factory wont have any output just fluter . a high power 8 in sub free air would have ok output but not worth it . just get a box with a sub or two in it . take out the factory sub . put you low output converter LOCon the sub output . its your best bet to get good bass!

Yea, I dunno I followed a couple how-to threads and there were a few holes in the firewall. That's what I did on all my other cars but on my Si the holes lead no where lol. At least that's how it seemed. I wasn't driven enough to troubleshoot it.

Luckily my fiancee loves my car and understands why I need FP and is OK with me getting it. But she busts my chops sometimes.

Yea I kinda figured that would be the case with the sub. I'm not too concerned. I almost never listen to music, I like to just listen to my car. If I do listen to music it's not that loud. I saw a few people make boxes for the stock sub. It was interesting but I'm sure its not the optimal choice.

I am gonna hang on to my LOC just in case, never know when I may change my mind. :headfones:
