I don't know if there is a post about this or not but I just found out the mass shooting that took place in San Jose yesterday took the life of a good friend and best mechanic I know.
He was a frequent poster on here for many years, although the past few years he has not posted much. He installed my Super Charger and inter-cooler and was my Tuner for my car and a number of users here. He was always willing to offer help with an install, or recommendation and dude was just super talented. I am sure going to miss him.

His name was Jose Hernandez from Dublin
his SN was k24ftw

I just found out maybe 15 min ago he was one of the 10 that was killed. So Sad and feel bad for his family.
RIP brother and thanks for all the work you did for my Si over the years. It's still running like a champ because of you!!

He was our son in law and as you said he was great at all he did. His civic was very we know and beyond fast. My son David Jr worked with Jose a lot on the car and as it was sold 2 months prior to this tragic event I was able to tack it down. It was first sold to Spencer Beck of Folsom, I contacted him told him of the situation and he was devastated.i asked if he still had the car as we wanted to get it back, he said he sold it 2 weeks prior to Danny Gall of Riverside so off to the next hunt. We'll got ahold of him and he was in shock to what happened he offered us tge car back fir what he paid plus expenses. I agreed and if we went from the Bay Area and got it back. A big thank you to Spencer and Danny for making it possible to get the Civic back in the family. My son broke down in tears when he seen the car at Danny's we're lucky to have some great people left in the world.

Thanks again and José will be missed everyday
