Reflash before and after Dyno

5/24/11 Update: Just ordered my Flash Pro. Really is no other way to go. Save your money and time and just buy Flash Pro.

Hello all. Just picked up my car yesterday from the good folks over at Autowave in HB. I was due for an Oil change and a valve spacing check so I had them do a Reflash while they had it. And because everyone likes a dyno graph, I had them throw it on their DynoDynamics dyno and do a before and after run for me.

The reason I went with the reflash instead of popping for the flashpro is mostly a money issue, but my goal in two years is a bottom end swap so the relfash will have to hold me over until then. The reflash does do everything it promises and I am very happy with my purchase. The torque increase in the 3k to 4k range is awesome for every day driving. As the graph shows there is a small dip in power and torque at about 4.5k and 7.5k. The dip at 4.5k can be felt, but I assume this has to do with the switch to the bigger lobes. This is quickly forgotten though by the giant increase in torque that follows. The second dip is not noticeable as much. I have yet to bounce of the new red line though. Gonna work my way there.

So until my "FP tuned K24 with IPS cams" wet dream becomes reality my 4500rpm VTEC window will have to due. Enjoy. :usa:

nice.
Good to see and glad you like the results. I'm leaning more towards a reflash over the flashpro due to price as well.
How much is a reflash in comparison to a FP?
reflash is 295 now since flashpro came out and flashpro is 695

So reflash may be an option for some people. It doesn't hold a candle to flashpro of course, but a generic map like that never could.

Glad you enjoyed it OP :D
Dyno seems high without a Race Header.... :/
can you post the dyno numbers before and after? i can't see the graph at work
glad to see good results. maybe i shoulda just reflashed. you gonna getta rh?

Haha. I'm sure you boss doesn't mind that you can't see the graph. Numbers are not the important part. The smoothness of the line is the big difference. The graph is needed to see that.

I want to but I live in "aging hippie liberal douche" land (aka California) and I don't want my smog checks to be a hassle.
