hmm i havnt gotten this letter yet :(
You don't need the letter. Just call you local dealer, tell them your VIN and then get them to see if you're up for recall. Note: this only applies to 06 models I believe.

I've had the recall done and I don't really notice anything different. The heinous DBW is still the same. Hopefully some tuner will come out with a tweakable ECU for this problem. Though I may not even have the car for that long.

my 06 si hangs... had it in for the 16k km service and told the dealer... he said he didnt know what i was refering to.. went to another dealership, had him print out the report/known issue and will bring it in to my local one to have it fixed next week... from those that have had it, do you notice a major difference in responsiveness, etc?

Hey Royce - print this out and bring it to Honda. There is a noticeable difference after the reflash... you revs drop way faster and the car feels more responsive to throttle input.

Make sure your VIN number falls within the range though. Otherwise, you won't get a reflash because your car already has the latest firmware.

I just got my ECU reflashed at Performance Honda in Chilliwack. The service lady did not know what I was talking about until I showed her the service bulletin and then they had it in and out in 20 minutes. The car behaves far better and the throttle response is waaaay better than before. And no bucking in 1st and 2nd gears. I am happy with it.

Hmm, I'll be damned. I thought my Vin didn't fall into the category...It is 6H100024...Last time I went to honda and asked them about it (like a year ago) they told me that my car didn't need it, but now that it is in the shop getting work they are reflashing it.

Got the reflash, and ABS thing checked out... spent 2 hours at Van. Honda.... They said they had to try like 10 times to get the ECU flash to work; something about the interface not working - who knows... anyways I still notice the rev hang, although it is slightly less annoying, its def. still there... was expecting more i guess.. mind you the roads were wet... so I didnt giv'r..

Hmm I got a letter for ABS sensor recall and went in. The tech said that it had something to do with faulty wheel bearings and could lead to something bad.

My car was ok! :thumb:

Did anyone else have door lock problems? Around this time last year, all of mine stopped working except for the driver's door. If anyone has/gets the problem, it's an issue in which one of the lock latches won't release causing the other three doors not to unlock.
